Lookin good

Lookin good in the Five Star by Barton Perreira. I love a celeb in an aviator, but you don't need to be a celeb to rock this look!

Starck Eyes is Back!

Starck Eyes is back! The genius "shoulder" hinges are updated with even more durability than the last time we carried the collection. The frame styles are sleek, simple and very contemporary. The shapes and proportions are appealing and timeless, so they are already flying off the shelf.

I Heart L.A. Eyeworks

The colorful and imaginative frames by L. A. Eyeworks are perfectly evocative of classics while remaining fresh and modern. These are the types of designs that prompt fun stories about your uncle Roger, or your cousin Suzy! Fun frame favorites with a twist!

Introducing Kaenon Sunglasses!

Kaenon is the latest addition to Art of Optiks' extensive frame collections. Kaenon's focus is on their patented lightwieght distortion free polarized lenses providing the clearest vision in any weather, and for any outdoor activity. You may recognize pro athletes wearing Kaenon such as golfers John Daly and Morgan Pressel, sailor, Mike Horn, race car driver Danica Patrick and dozens more. We have already discovered that most of the sailing community has sworn by Kaenon sunglasses for years, although they are ideal for many other sports as well. The best part is that their patented lenses can be made with prescriptions (ask Margaret if your prescription would work). Stop in and try on, to see the difference for yourself !

New Lindberg

Today at Art of Optiks we received the new shipment of Lindberg from the fall eyewear show! Very Cool.  Lindberg, a mostly rimless line, has really stepped out with this latest collection.  The new acetate (plastic) temples are incredibly inventive.  Nikki and I decided one of the colors reminds us of a cherry jolly rancher!  Lindberg, not known for its bright and bold colors has taken a turn in this direction.  We are seeing color combos like purple and green, white pearl and red, vibrant blue and green etc... But, so that our traditional Lindberg customers aren't feeling left out, there is plenty for you as well.

Any many thanks to Mr. S today who gave me many good ideas how to tackle my daughter's impending drivers license and driving issues.  I don't know what I would do without our customers!

Peace Out

Silmo d'Or 2007 Award

Boz, by JF Rey, won the Silmo d'Or award for Style & Design in 2007 for the Kaprisse frame. The Silmo d'Or is a very prestigious award given to the best design of the year by fellow eyewear designers.

The Kaprisse is a metal, semi-rimless frame with laser cut floral design temples.  The Kaprisse is now available at Art of Optiks in two colors, dusty rose pink and a deep lipstick red.

The 80's are Back!

Check out the latest frame from Alain Mikli, if this doesn't remind you of the 80's I don't know what will!

New Gold & Wood Sunglasses

We just got in new sunglasses from Gold & Wood. These frames have wood temples encrusted with Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones.

Each frame is a different color, featuring a different pattern of stones.

This frame is also a great fit for people with smaller faces.

Stop in and check them out, they are limited edition and won't be around long!
